handset cords for Nortel, Aastra & Northern Telecom phones

Older Northern Telecom phones had handset jacks on their sides and use standard cords. Most recent Nortel and Aastra phones have handset jacks on the bottom with cord retention channels.

Standard handset cords can be difficult to install in these phones because you'd have to untwist them and stretch them out. We have special handset cords with four-inch straight sections that are easy to install in the channels. These cords will also work in other phones that have similar construction.

In the 1990s, Aastra took over certain product lines from Nortel. That's why we are grouping Aastra and Nortel together on this page. To make things even more complicated, many phones made by Aastra, are branded by phone companies that distributed them, such as BellSouth.

And if that's not complicated enough for you, Some Nortel phones, such as the 1120E "IP" phone, require cords with even longer straight sections. Fortunately, we have them, too.
